When Bjorn Borg asked me to write about my rivals I didn’t think of a person as my rival but of stress and the fear of failure. No one wants to fail in any way and it can work both as a motivation but also as a liability. You need to keep your head strong to stay in the game. I used to play Tennis a lot and it was my favorite thing in the world. I could play for hours just for fun during summertime but when it got competitive I suddenly didn’t like it that much anymore.. Being competitive isn’t in my nature and it’s something I would like to work on because it can push you just a little further and that’s exactly what I need sometimes.
It’s the same in Blogger world, we all want the same thing and have the same goals which makes it hard sometimes. That being said, I think it’s important to develop your own style so you can shine in your own way and that’s something no one can take away from you, not even your worst rival. Stress & the fear of failure are my worst rivals but it’s something I have to learn to live with and it’s just another challenge I need to conquer. Blogging is about inspiring people and showing your love for fashion to the world.
It’s good to know who has your back because we’re all in it together after all and I wish everyone the very best!
So dear Rivals, this one is just for you. I need you to fuck off so I can do my thing!
Summer is coming people! That also means it’s time for a new festival season with heart shaped sunglasses, denim shorts, colorful prints,… The crazier the better! It’s about music that’s for sure but you can’t deny that every festival needs a proper outfit! (probably themed and everything)
I’m so looking forward to it and was delighted to have a chance to work with H&M for my first Coachella-inspired-festival-look! It’s no surprise I’m going for another full denim look with some flower embroidery.
I was a little shy at first because it was the first time showing some leg in 2017… After a while I was fine and totally channeling my inner Erin Brochovich, played by the lovely Julia Roberts. (If only I had her legs).
An empowered woman, certain of who she is and what she wants. Amen
New season, new clothes and new collabs! I’m excited to announce my new collab with Zalando for the Remix Fashion campaign where it’s all about mixing it up, from high street to high end fashion. The video features Jourdan Dunn, Andreea Diaconu, Julia Nobis and Kris Gottschalk arriving at the A$AP Hotel and each staying in a room that reflects their personal style. A$AP Rocky resides at the hotel where he and the A$AP Mob mix up the guests’ suitcases. He encourages the female guests to express their style by combining different looks. I think it’s a really cool and refreshing concept because not everyone can afford certain brands or items and I’ve always believed that it’s not what you can buy but what you can do with your clothes that will define your style. In this outfit I got my favorite brands covered. Big surprise it’s mostly sports brands like Puma, Nike & Reebok, streetstyle brands like Wood wood, finished with a high end Love Moschino bag! Socks high, cap on, oversized coat check, the perfect Hipster street style combo if you ask me. What do you guys think, too baggy or just the right amount of oversized?
This year Delvaux taps into the sporty look of prep school chic by launching the limited edition bag called The Hero. Still keeping track of innovation and heritage, the brand renewed the iconic Brillant design into a dark green vinyl bag with their unique Emblem : 1829 stamped on the front. Once again Delvaux succeeds in meeting technical challenges with the spirit of innovation. La maison’s research and development teams used intricate techniques and the latest tools of the trade to craft this ingenious new design. Ever since I knew what ‘designer bag’ meant, I’ve looked up the certain brands and Delvaux was definitely one of them so you can imagine my euphoria when I got the call! Delvaux, it was a true honor and I’m so looking forward to my trip to the atelier next month. Being able to see how these classics are made from scratch is one step closer to real fashion!
What to wear when you go to a Museum? I always imagine a fancy outfit because I compare it with going to the Opera, not that I’ve ever been… The timing of this blogpost is perfect because the holidays are just around the corner so that makes this jacket the perfect eye catching Item in my closet. The main piece of this outfit is the blingbling jacket from the Gigi Holiday Collection by Tommy Hilfiger! You can also dress it down with like a light jeans but I thought this was the perfect occasion to take it up a notch and wear my over the knee boots and little black dress. How would you wear this jacket? y
This look doesn’t need much explaining. Denim is life! Ever since I was little I was always wearing denim on denim on denim… My parents had good taste though! I’m happy it’s making a ‘comeback’ although it should have never left the fashion scene! It’s a classic like leather and velvet. Different fabrics combining is my new thing. Also glad velvet is making a comeback. At first I couldn’t see me wearing it but now I have it in all different kinds of fits and colors! A perfect balance between casual and chic if you ask me! I love my new Unisa ankle boots, they’re so comfortable so now I can wear heels on a daily basis. Who would’ve thought, Enface’dl exchanging her sneakers for heels?!

Last saturday M.A.C Cosmetics took it to the next level with their new Holiday collection in theme of the Nutcracker. It was a full house in the M.A.C Cosmetics store in Brussels and I could really feel the Christmas vibe. The sight of these beautiful packaged products and bright colors were amazing. What makes this collection so special is that there are different kits available like for example the eye shadow palette I chose, a handy brush kit or the perfect shades of festive lipsticks. The ideal Christmas gift if you ask me! I had an amazing time with the wonderful Emma Gelaude meeting new people and getting our faces dolled up with the new collection! What’s your favourite product? Check out the candy coated gift guide here.
These are my favorite items : The nutcracker Eye shadow palette called ‘sweet smokey eye compac‘ in bronze colors because I think it matches best with my skin tone and it’s ideal for my everyday make-up look. Next in line is the highlighter because I love to highlight all the good things in life, including my cheekbones.
There’s a new JD Sports store in town! And this time I’m not talking about Antwerp, I’m talking about Brussels. During the opening there were so many people and so much to see. I got this full look, head to toe, from the brands Hype, Adidas and Nike. What do you think? It took me a little by surprise to see how extensive their offer is. The collections aren’t the typical ones you’ve seen a thousand times. Like I already said, I’m wearing Hype Patch Fleece Pants and Hype Crop Sweatshirt. I was going for the full beige look at first because I like the one-color-suits but this orange(-brownish) color was a better match with my skin. The Nike cap is a classic item you just have to have. I wear it whenever I have a bad hair day (which is a lot these days) or just when it rains (also a lot..). I’ve wanted these Adidas Originals Gazelle sneakers for a while but could never decide over the color. Baby blue it is!
I’m also wearing the Denim Truckerjacket by Tommy Hilfiger – from the Tommy Jeans collection. You can find it here.
These picture are taken by the lovely Billie Gielen! We had a great time and I’m sure this isn’t the last time we’ll work together!
So as I already mentioned in previous posts, I finally graduated. I have my master in Product development so I’m ready for the next step. To start this new chapter in my life I have to make some hard decisions and that scares me a little. I’m not sure what I have to do because I have more than one dream. Fashion is one of them, that’s no surprise. I feel like I want to travel the world, I haven’t seen much and there’s no better time than the present to go discover it all. I also have to think about my future and my ambitions to build a good career. That’s what I’m still figuring out these days, how to combine all the things that I love. I’m also going to expand my subjects I write&blog about. Next to fashion I’m also adding beauty and travel!
